Crosby, Texas – May 22, 2024 – ALTIVIA Oxide Chemicals is pleased to announce the completion of a large-scale filtration unit. The added functionality to ALTIVIA’s processes will optimize operational efficiency and meet world-class filtration standards.

The new system was designed to meet our customers’ evolving requirements for filtration process capabilities and includes several components to enhance filtration.

Key features of the new unit include:

• Stainless Steel Pressure Leaf Filter: This 1300-square-foot surface area filter is designed for large-scale filtration applications, offering superior performance and efficiency in processing large volumes of materials.
• Polypropylene Plate & Frame Filter Press I: 850 square feet surface area filter engineered for high volume filtration, providing consistent and reliable finish products.
• Polypropylene Plate & Frame Filter Press II: This 70-square-foot filter is tailored for small-volume specialized products, requiring special attention to filter media and flow shear rates.
• Multiple Bag and Cartridge Filters: The new filtration unit incorporates several bag and cartridge filters to handle low solids and polishing applications prior to product shipment. These filters are used primarily to ensure stringent turbidity specifications are met as a final step in meeting customer requirements.

The completion of the filtration unit marks another step in ALTIVIA Oxide Chemicals' ongoing efforts to expand its processing capabilities.
